Hey there, I'm Robert Richter, a trained video journalist, filmmaker, and producer with a Bachelor of Media Arts degree. I'm passionate about crafting short-form documentary storytelling that captures cinematic beauty for media clients and international corporations.
I'm thrilled to have contributed to many projects that have been recognized at the Cannes Media, New York Festivals, CIVIS, and Grimme awards. I love to push the limits and go the extra mile, and my cheerful nature helps me tackle any challenge or subject with ease.
I prefer to work solo or in small crews, where I can break down the traditional barriers between director, DoP, editor, and producer. I enjoy developing concepts and executing them flawlessly, from start to finish.
Aside from Berlin, where I born, raised and based, I've lived and breathed the cultures of Moscow and Tokyo, broadening my perspective and honing my craft. As a true global citizen, I'm always on the move, traveling the world for projects. So far, I've shot in over 100 countries across six continents, from Andorra to Zambia, often traveling light and taking solo-shoots where I shine brightest.
